NOF was invited to attend the Drilling Safety Leadership Forum of ExxonMobil

Recently, ExxonMobil hosted their Drilling Safety Leadership Forum in Houston, Texas. Dr. Yuanhui Sun, the Chairman, CEO & President of Northern Offshore, Ltd. (NOF), and Peter Cunnion, Senior Vice President, Regional Manager of the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, were invited to attend the Forum.


The Drilling Safety Leadership Forum held by ExxonMobil which is a very famous international oil & gas company, has a well reputation in the industry. The theme of the Forum is Leading in Today’s Environment with People, Technology and Risk Management and how oil field service contractors manage risk has attracted great attention from the global oil & gas service industry. Around 120 senior executives from internationally renowned offshore drilling contractors and oil and gas equipment manufacturers were in attendance. In addition to NOF, companies such as Seadrill, Noble, Transocean, and Schlumberger were represented. NOF’s invitation to the Forum reflects the recognition of NOF’s capability by one of the top international oil & gas companies in the world. NOF is the only international offshore oil & gas service company with Chinese background among the invited companies.

At the Forum, ExxonMobil analyzed the status and perspective of global oil & gas markets and introduced ExxonMobil's investment priorities for the next 20 years. Some of the participants shared their achievements in offshore drilling technology, risk management, company construction and other achievements.

In 2019, NOF was awarded three drilling contracts for offshore drilling in blocks jointly developed by ExxonMobil and Qatar Petroleum.The first of the three drilling contracts will commence around April 2020.
